Picture Time!!!

So a couple weeks ago, my girls and I met up with my cousin Jake and his girlfriend Ashley to get our pictures taken. Jake and Ashley are awesome!!! They are just starting to do photography and so they offered to take our pictures for us!! They did such a good job for just begining. Here are just a few of them... He took 300!!! I will try to get more posted as soon as I can!!!! Oh yeah... and dont mind my shoes, I didn't think he would actually get them in the pic :) WHOOPS!!!

I know I am partial but I think that my babies are sooo dang cute!!! Mahryka is not very photogenic, as you all know, but Jake was able to get some really good shots of her.... Thank you so much Jake and Ash for taking the time to get some really good pictures of the girls.... and for helping me get Kenidi to cooperate!!! She loves you guys!!! If anyone is interested in getting some great pics done for a small fee, get a hold of me.... I will hook you up!!!

Dress up or school clothes??

I know that I am horrible at this blogging stuff but I promise, I will get better!!! I did want to post a funny picture that I took this morning of Kenidi though. Ive said it probably a million times already, but Kenidi is definitely my payback child. She is very stubborn and sassy and totally has a mind of her own... I love it!!! She is such a brat and it makes me laugh.... Don't get me wrong, she gets in trouble, A LOT, but when I sit back and think about all the stuff she does and pulls, it cracks me up. So this morning when I was getting out of the shower, Kenidi came in with the clothes that she wanted to wear for the day. Now let me say this before I go any further, every morning we fight about what Kenidi wants to wear. If I pick ANYTHING out, she will not wear it!! So I would try to pick out two outfits and ask her to choose, that worked for a couple months but now, that's not working either. Anyway, back to the story... she walks in with some dress up clothes.... and the conversation went something like this.....

K: Mama I wanna wear this today.


Me: Kenidi, those are dress up clothes. You can't wear them to school.


K: But Mama (Whining) I love them, and they are pretty


Me: I know they are Kenidi and you look very pretty when you play with your dress up clothes but that doesn't mean you can wear them to school. That shirt is a tank top that you do up with Velcro and it doesn't even cover your belly....

K: (Still whining) But MOMMA.... I will wear an undershirt

Me: Kenidi I said no... Its too cold

K: (On the verge of tears... still whining) Momma pleeeeeeeease.... I will wear tights too.... Pleeeeeeeeeseee..... Pleeeeeeeeeeeeese... Mommmyyyyyyyyy.... pleeeeeeeeeeease........


And that is where I give in. My grandma once told me that you pick your battles when it comes to your children.... Kenidi won this fight for sure.... I was not going to fight with her.... and to top it off, right before we left, as I am running out the door yelling at the girls to get their shoes on, she walks out with pink Hannah Montana slippers on.... I just had to stop and laugh... That child is amazing... she really is... Anyway I had to take pic of her to share with all of you so that you can see what I have been talking about.... Hope you all get a kick out of my "special" one LOL.... (Also, a sidenote :) If you look real close, her hair isn't done either... that is another battle I refuse to fight most mornings.... I think I need to get up earlier LOL.....

My baby is growing up!!

My little Mahryka had her kindergarten round up on Wednesday. She was sooo excited, but mommy, not so much. I can't believe my baby is already beginning kindergarten!!! I am going to be a mess her first day... Just talking about buying her school clothes, brings me to tears!!! She is getting so big. She is so smart and such a helper around the house. We are soo lucky to have this little sweetheart in our lives. I love you baby!!!

Yesterday

I know that I have said it a million times before but my children are AWFUL at taking pictures!!! We were over at my aunts house yesterday for my cousins birthday and I wanted to get a picture of me and the girls because they looked so cute... As you can see, we tried quite a few times and never really got a good one but I thought that I would post them anyway. Sorry there are sooo many but as you can see I really was trying to get a good one of all of us.... KRISTY, I NEED YOU LOL!!!!!

This first one of me and Mahryka isn't that bad but if you haven't noticed, my hair is in my face... Lovely!!! If I had to choose just one, I would choose this one. I hate it of me, but both of my girls are actually smiling and so I really like it. Now if we could just crop Mom out of it.....

This picture is just another example of Mahryka and her goofy smile. I seriously do not know where she gets that from. I dont wanna think it was from me so we will blame her dad :)

This is the last one. The look on Kenidi's face is priceless. She was so tired of taking pictures. She was starting to get mad. She had had enough!!! She has so much attitude. It is hilarious.
Hopefully I will be hooking up with Kristy soon to get some decent pictures of our little family. Until then, you will all have to deal with these homemade family pictures that are not good!!! :)

My Church

I just wrote this big long post about my Church and somehow it was deleted... so here is a short version of what I have to say. This video is the video that is played at my church before worship, and I just wanted to share it with all of you. I was saved almost a month ago and have definitely made some changes in my life. I dont drink, or party, or do any of that crazy stuff I once did. Once I started attending my church, I realized that I didn't have the relationship with Christ that I wanted to, and that I needed to change my lifestyle. Obviously it will not happen overnight but I am making the changes that I need to make to become a better Christian. This video is just a little insight as to how our church is, how we are, and what we believe. It doesn't matter what you wear or what you do, no one is there to judge you. We are just there to give God all the Praise and Glory!!! I hope you all like it... I absolutely love it!!

I am such a slacker!!!!

So it's been almost a month since I have posted anything on my blog!!! I know, I'm horrible. I think Nina is going to have a heart attack if I don't start posting more often :) Love you!!! Anyway, I have been sooo crazy busy so I will give you a little update on what we have been up to!!!

On the 26th, Ashley and I went to the Rascal Flatts concert. I know, those of you that know me know that I have been to EVERY concert for the last 5 years :) I am just a little obsessed... I couldn't miss it. I have to get my fix of my boys at least once a year lol... Anyway I took a TON of pics but I haven't downloaded any of them :) but I do have some pics that I took of Ash and I with my phone so I will post those with to be continued under all of them. That night was sooo much fun. We headed to SLC early and went to dinner at the California Pizza Kitchen with one of my besties, Anna. I was so excited that she was able to meet us down there. Anna has been my friend from the Wells Fargo days and after she got married, she moved to SLC to live with her honey so we don't get to see each other as often as we would like. It was nice to see her.. I love you Banana :) Anyway after Ashley and I headed over to the concert... it was so fun. The people we were sitting next to were hilarious and they were making us laugh the whole time. Jessica Simpson opened for them and she did a really good job as long as you don't look at her. When she sings, she puts the mic right on her mouth like she is making out with it. It is hilarious but absolutely horrible to watch... Then out came my boys!!! Oh goodness, I love them... Anyway all in all it was a good night until I got sick on the way home... but that is another story I will get into another time....

Then last week, my poor little baby was in the hospital :( She started getting sick about a week before but it just seemed like she had a really bad cold. As always, her cough is ridiculous because she has asthma so Tuesday I decided I had better take her in to see the doctor. This is a regular routine for us... Mahryka already takes one singulair a day, an inhaled steroid twice a day, and albuteral through her inhaler as needed up to 4 times a day... Poor child... It is so hard to see her struggling to breathe and get air because you are so helpless... Anyway, usually when she gets sick, we have to give her a liquid steroid to help with her cough or it will never go away so off to the doctor we went. Everything was fine at the doctor. Said it was a cold, but it sounded like the beginnings of pneumonia so I needed to watch her fever and keep in touch in case it got worse. He gave us our regular prescription for the steroid and we left. She slept pretty much for the next 5 days... That is unusual for her but I just figured it was because she was so sick and she needed her rest. Well Sunday her fever was still at 102 and not getting any better... so I took her up to the Emergency Room. After being there for 4 hours and a series of tests, they came in to tell us she had pneumonia and they needed to keep her and watch her and that they were going to start an IV... My poor little baby... She was so tough but when they had to do the IV, she lost it. And so did mommy. They attempted to do it in her arm the first time but once they got it in, the tube bent so they had to do it again in her hand. It was horrible.... Mommy was crying, Mahryka was crying... It was a mess. Anyway after a very long night and lots and lots of antibiotics through the IV, we were able to go home but had to be back to the Dr the next day, first thing in the morning. She is doing better now but I hope we never have to go through that again. I was only able to get one pic of her because she was not happy about me leaving her side so here you go...

You can't really tell in this picture at all but she was so miserable. Her little face was pale and she had big black circles under her eyes... it was the saddest thing ever. Anyway, enough for now... Sorry my post is so long... that is what happens when you don't update as often as you should :) I promise I will really try to work on it... I don't want to be like Becky LOL
